Local juniors Viacheslav Ovcharenko (1½/6), Jack Wills (3/6) and Harvey Cooper (4th= 4/6) were brave enough to take on the top section, well done to all and Harvey came ahead of a horde of higher-rated opponents
In the Improvers, Joe Forty (2nd 5/6) had the tournament of his life, with Ronit Randawa (4th= 4/6) also among the prizes, and in the pack were Rhys Hamond (3½/6), Ruben Arnold (3½/6), Daniel Smith (3/6), Jamie Glasson (3/6), Reuben Medhurst (2½/6), Tomas Makuta (2/6) and Orson Curtis (2/6). Well done to all -- gave the adult players a fright!
